you're not the first one to use any of that crap in pve. the only thing you did was fill up a few optional slots, other then that it's just an incredibly generic pve fire ele bar. that is it.

Yeah, it's not really unique.

And you don't have an elite skill, unless I'm wrong..?

No utility on a Mind Blast bar of all genres of kill bars... so bad.

Back to the drawing board.

I hope you don't plan on using Meteor Shower anywhere in hardmode with that build, or in normal mode where interrupts, daze or knock downs occur. In general, I hope you don't plan to use that in hard mode because nuking IS NOT REALLY THAT COOL.

It's only cool when I do it in elf tonics :3

well. to be honest it looks just like any other rodgorts build. works fine but people tend to use glowing gaze as its nonelite and the recharge is the same.
glowing gaze would give back a total of 13 energy if condition is met with attunement(not hard with mark of rodgort and rodgorts invocation)
mind blast would give 10 with attunement if you meet the condition(harder to do if youre using invocation)
up to you but i would personally use glowing and bring something else like savannah heat, or maybe another profession's elite to be more versatile.

Firstly Pete, it would help if you had some periods in that last message; it was a little hard to read

To address the build in question, you have recieved a few constructive comments as to how to improve it. Here are some recomendations of mine:

1) Add Glowing Gaze. Any Mark of Rogdart build ought to have this skill for energy management. I'd recomend trading it for either Fireball or Meteor Shower, which brings me to my next point:

2) Your build focuses around two main skills, those being (i'm making assumptions here) Mark of Rogdart and Mind Blast. Mind Blast has a quick recharge time of only three seconds, which means if you are attempting to spam it as much as possible (for energy management) your attack sequence should look something like this:

a) Mark of Rodgort
b) Mind Blast
c) 1-2 second nuke (liquid flame or fireball would be a good choice here for AoE burning)
d) Mind Blast
e) Glowing Gaze (when you get it)
f) Mind Blast
g) 1-2 second nuke
h) etc.

You will note that you're using the same 3-4 skills repetetively, without much need for other skills. Even with Fire Attunement and Glyph of Lesser Energy (the glyph, by the way, is probably not necessary if you're spamming Mind Blast and Glowing Gaze) that leaves you 2-3 skills that you can customize with other, need-based skills. You might want to consider a speed boost like Fire Djinn's Haste (also a descent nuke) or some moderate healing like Aura of Restoration or Healing Breeze (both of which can be used as a cover enchantment for your Fire Attunement).

3) Mind Blast/Rodgort are a good combo for single-enemy nukes, but if you're going for fast AoE damage/burning, you may want to consider using a different elite skill. Alternatively, you could spam Lava Arrows in between Mind Blasts to keep several enemies burning indefinately. The attack pattern would then narrow to simply this:

1) Mark of Rodgart
2) Mind Blast
3) Lava Arrows
4) Mind Blast/Glowing Gaze (depending on energy)
5) Lava Arrows
5) Repeat steps 2-5

A final observation: I can understand your desire to have your "own" build, but quite frankly, any moderately effective build in guild wars has already been taken in whole or in part by somebody else; you can make exellent builds without help from anyone, but 999/1000 times, someone else has beaten you to the punch.

First off, its not YOUR build, many people use those same skills and have done so since that skill set was available. It sounds like you just want everyone to know that you created the build, (note on the capitalized "MY") which that isn't even that good.

If you really want help on making it more effective for PvE, take out Meteor Shower. By the time you will have casted it, most of the enemies will be dead or only 1 meteor will have done damage before they are killed. Also, try and add Splinter Weapon to the build so you get more damage dealt among multiple enemies. Lastly, Mind Blast isn't that powerful and can help you lose a chunk of energy quickly if you spam it, so try and get a different elite.

I actually think that it's a good thing to do fire in NM, because you'll then be forced to switch to something else (unless you quit GW1 of course!) for HM.

To the OP:
1) check the elementalist guide on the wiki, read it it's very useful:
http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Elementalist
2) There's also this good guide from Celestial Beaver:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10314574
3) Check the elementalist forum for great tips and help.
4) An elite skill on your bar would be a must.
6) Stop putting emphasis on "MY" and start putting some emphasis on "BUILD".

1. If all you're interested in is raw fire damage, then you'd be better off with Searing Flames. Mind Blast only starts to outperform it when you use it to power PvE skills and the like.

2. If all you're interested in is raw fire damage, then you're going to run into a painful lesson as monster armor goes through the roof in late NM and HM.

To OP, the only thing about fire is all the skills do basically the same thing. They all go Boom. Or in hard mode they go Poof. you really could pick at least a dozen different builds to serve the same purpose as your thrown together build you have there.

that build will work about as good as any other fire build in Normal mode. Id just line up the skills a bit differently. For instance. place [[gole] before [[rodgorts invocation] and [[meteor shower] to ensure you get the full benefit from the skill.
[Mind [email protected]][Glyph of lesser [email protected]][Rodgorts [email protected]][Mark of [email protected]][Liquid [email protected]][[email protected]][Meteor [email protected]][Fire [email protected]]

On a side note, try using proper grammar and legible spelling. People might take you more seriously.
oh yeah, and spiting/mocking a mod is never a good idea.

First - [[mind blast] is used for making builds that deal some damage while adding support.

So you get in [[fire attunement] and [[mind blast] and that is all the energy management you need. If you need more better get a different elite.

Then you add [[Rodgort's invocation] for damage. If you wish, a skill like [[fireball] or [[Searing Heat].

So basically, you want to be spamming [[Rodgort's invocation] and [[fireball] alongside [[mind blast] to keep ur energy. As a side note [[mind blast] is back on 2 secs recharge.

That is ur main damage. And you still have 4 or 5 skills slot free.

In those you want to add stuff that makes improves your value for the team. You have a host of nice options.

[[You move like a dwarf], [[Finish him] and [[Ebon vanguard assassin support] are always great ways to boost your damage.

[[Breath of the great Dwarf] and [[There's nothing to fear] are great heal party skills with ok and great side effects, respectively.

[[Ward against melee], [[Ward of stability], [[Ebon battle standard of honor], [[Ebon battle standard of courage] and [[Ebon battle standard of wisdom] are great support.

[[Great dwarf weapon] and [[Splinter weapon] will get you the love and gratitude of physical attackers.

[build prof=E/P name="E/P" Ene=12+1 Fir=12+2][Fire Attunement][Mind Blast][Rodgorts Invocation][Fireball][Ebon Battle Standard of Courage][Great Dwarf Weapon][Theres Nothing to Fear][Signet of Return][/build]

[build prof=E/Ri name="E/RT" Ene=8+1 Fir=12+2 Cha=10 Res=2][Fire Attunement][Mind Blast][Rodgorts Invocation][Fireball][Splinter Weapon (PvE)][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][Finish Him][Flesh of my Flesh (PvE)][/build]

[build prof=E/Ri name="E/rt" Ene=9+1 Fir=12+2 Ear=9+1 Res=2][Fire Attunement][Mind Blast][Rodgorts Invocation][Fireball][Ward Against Melee (PvE)][You Move Like a Dwarf][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support][Flesh of my Flesh (PvE)][/build]

As you can see from the above builds, you can do decent damage and then have different ways to boost and augment/protect you party and still provide a ressurect method.

Just stick with MB, RI, and LF. Take 4 utility skills like those mentioned above and a rez and you'll be fine.

In reference to your request for a Savannah Heat build. I like to use SH and then immediately follow up with Meteor for a KD that will keep the enemy/enemies in SH for the full five second duration.
